The stories behind tattoos can be very personal, so you won't be required to share this slide with the class. I will, however, leave time for volunteers to share on Monday if you'd like.

Inspirational quotes in Google Classroom

Inspirational quotes

See attached video for what TO do and what NOT to do.

1. Find an inspirational quotation that you would like to post on Mrs. Bell's classroom walls.
2. Then, make a creative digital or manual design for aesthetically displaying this quotation. This is your opportunity to make this classroom your space. You will not be judged for your artistic ability--simply create something you are proud of--something that we all would enjoy looking at all year.
3. On the back of your poster, justify your choice. Write one paragraph explaining why this quotation is meaningful to  you.
4. Bring your artistic rendering of the quotation to class on the due date.
5. You do not have anything to submit digitally, so simply click "Done" when you have finished the physical poster.

Be sure to include the author of the quotation (at least in small text) on the poster. The author may also be "Unknown" or "Anonymous" (which are two very different things!). Just do a little Googling of CREDIBLE sources to be sure of the author's name or label.

My Story: What's your story? in Google Classroom

My Story: What's your story?

Write a narrative telling Mrs. Bell about who you are. This is a very broad topic, so you may take this "story" in a variety of directions.

Some questions you may want to consider exploring are as follows:
(1) How have you become who you are today?
(2) What makes you tick?
(3) What makes you unique?
(4) What are your hopes and dreams?
(5) What about your life or yourself do you want your teacher to know? (6) What do you wish other people knew about you?
(7) What do you value?

This narrative should be at least three "chunky" paragraphs long. It can be creative and fairly informal if you wish-- try to establish your unique writer's voice. You will be scored simply on following directions and evincing effort. The purpose is for you to tell your story. Only your teacher will read it, unless you choose to share it with others.

You may submit this digitally or handwritten. If handwritten, please "CamScan" or take a quality photo of the handwritten document, and submit it digitally to this assignment.

Due:
